About Circle M Farms

Owned by Nathan and Erin Miller, Our farm began in 2011 on approximately 40 acres nestled in northern Washington Parish, Louisiana, where most of my family is from.

My wife, Erin and I, felt the need and desire to produce our own quality foodstuffs right here on our farm. We began raising our own beef, pork, chickens, and eggs, and still to this day provide custom pasture-to-plate, natural, wholesome, farm-raised products, processed locally at approved USDA facilities to many families across South Louisiana. 

Our purebred Nubian dairy goat herd began several years later, with my idea to purchase a few does for my wife for our 10-year wedding anniversary, and the rest (as far as the dairy is concerned) they say is history. 

Our dairy goat herd name, Southern Maids, is a tribute to everything that is the South. Often prophetic, comical, and occasionally rightfully fitting to the animal, we strive to name each of our dairy goats after people, places, and things that embody the South, southern living, and its amazing heritage.

While we started with Nubians, we later added Saanens and then Alpines.  The combination of these animals and their genetics allows us to utilize each breed's full potential in giving us the freshest and best quality milk for use in our home and the dairy.

In the late summer of 2020, we became officially licensed by the Louisiana Department of Health as a Grade A producer/processor, and we currently are the largest Grade A dairy goat operation in the state.  Our passion is to produce the freshest milk, cheeses, and the most succulent goat cheese cheesecakes you will ever enjoy.  

In the fall of 2020, we began wholesale and retail production in the New Orleans market.  In late 2022 we introduced our products into the Hammond and Baton Rouge area and started attending twice-weekly farmers markets in Baton Rouge.  In 2023, with cooperation from chefs, local retail businesses and public demand,  we continue to expand across the state into other markets.     

Our future is extremely bright as we push to further expand throughout the state and bring our chefs and customers the freshest goat milk dairy products available.
